3 Hours Before Flight Time
This tour will have fixed departure from Leh, a beautiful and picturesque place in the State of Jammu and Kashmir. Due to the complexity of the destination the departures for Leh will be in Fixed to Delhi for people arriving from different parts.
The journey commences with a mesmerizing flight over the Himalayas as you land in Leh. After your arrival in leh you will be received by the tour executives who will transfer you to your hotel. Get done with your check-in formalities and have a hot cup of coffee or tea to do away with the salubrious weather. As it’s an overnight stay in the hotel you get the whole day to enjoy at your leisure. You can take a stroll in the local market as the late afternoon approaches and kick off your tour in this beautiful Himalayan destination.
After an opulent breakfast in the hotel you start with your Leh sightseeing tour. The very first place that makes it to the list of the places to visit in Leh is the Pathar Sahib Gurudwara. The shrine dedicated to the Sikh Pilgrimage has serenity attached to it. Next up in the list of destinations to cater are Sangam of the Indus River and the Zanskar River. Nothing can be ever so fulfilling then coming in turns of the River that is the inspiration behind the Name of this country.
Magical Magnetic Hill is another place to not only get a splendid view of the hills but is known for a magnetic attraction. The 30 Km long stretch is in the Leh to Shrinagar highway gives an undaunted experience of getting pulled to the uphill road without even starting the vehicle engine. After, an exciting tour you end the day by coming back to the hotel and enjoying the overnight stay.
After a quick breakfast you start the 3rd day of the tour by taking the road to the picturesque Nubra Valley. The road to Nubra Valley has to be treated by a drive via Khardongla which is the World’s highest Motorable road at 18,380 feet above sea level. The trail is a zig zag path which gives away a sight of the Hundar Village and the hills that is a treat to the nature lover’s eyes. As the drive comes to an end you check-in to the Nubra Camp for the remaining afternoon. You can either choose to relax away the afternoon or go for enjoying the double hump camel or the prettiness of the sand dunes. This is an overnight stay which you can enjoy and get the best view of the unpolluted night sky.
Start the fourth day with an early morning visit to the Diskit monastery and enjoy the breathtaking view of the Nubra Valley from here. You can take a drive to the Pangong Lake via the Valley of Shayok. This Lake gives away a postcard perfect view of the piercing Turquoise Lake. The landscapes that are there in the backdrop of the Lake are not only mesmerizing but at the same time can leave you overwhelmed. You can spend the rest of the afternoon enjoying a picnic by the Lake or even stay overnight in the camp or choose to return to the hotel.
After a short visit in Nubra valley you will have to start your journey towards Leh after finishing up your breakfast. The journey towards Leh will take you through Changla where you can get down and enjoy the serenity of the Thiksey Monastery and the Shey Palace. The journey back to Leh will be a treat to your eyes as you will get see the amazing views and breathtaking atmosphere it provides. After returning to the hotel in Leh you will have the remaining evening at your whims which you can enjoy in the Overnight stay.
A whole day of leisure is at your expense in Leh. There won’t be any transport available so you can go off and visit places in and around Leh if you want at your own cost and expense. Choose to get the taste of the local cuisine that can be found in the eateries of Leh and bask in the glory of being in this beautiful place. Leh being a Buddhist settlement has a number of monasteries for one to visit. If you like tranquility and peace then the Buddhist monasteries are the perfect place to sit and enjoy the quaintness.
The Namgyal Tsemo Monastery was founded by King Tashi Namgyal around 1430. The monastery is known for the location in which it is situated and gives a look that is hard to forget. Another Monastery that you can visit while in Leh is the Phayang Monastery which was built around 1515 and is different from the other monasteries in the area. The Phayang Monastery also has a museum, and the interior has colored murals that are intricate in nature. Apart from these there is Red Maitreya Temple, Gomang Stupa, Shankar Monastery, main Buddha temple and many more places to visit. After you are done with your visit, you can come back to the hotel, have your dinner and enjoy the final night in this mystic place.
It’s time to bid farewell to this beautiful place. You will be transferred to the airport to board your flight to Delhi and leave for your respective destination.
